July 12, 2030. I didn’t even realize it until I started doing this canvassing. I thought this was just important to me because I’m from Miami and I’ve cared about global warming all my life. But almost everybody wants to do something now.

July 10, 2030. I met with three of Jess’ friends yesterday. They’re part of Southern Illinois 350, a coalition of local people and groups that take various actions in response to climate change.
Miami Meetups
July 8, 2030. I’ve also been talking to a big group of Miamians online called the Miami Diaspora. It’s mostly Miami refugees like me, but it also includes some Miamians who are still in the city and have internet access.
Friends, Fireworks, and Insurance
July 5, 2030. I was just hoping to have a nice, calm, quiet day to recover from staying up late having a few drinks with new friends. But then I turn on my phone and the first thing I see is a headline about the insurance companies.
The Solutions Project
July 2, 2030. Rumors are circulating about another big announcement coming out of Miami later this week. If my sources are right, it won’t be good news. Therefore, I’d like to spend today talking about something positive.
